utilizes motion capture technology to depict a real-time animated performance. Centered around an interstellar mythology, Flex performers animate a digital avatar known as the Black Knight satellite through a series of digital space environments. Audiences watch as machine and body synchronize blurring the virtual and real. The project positions the cosmos as more than just an object of study but a cosmic stage of Black expression, emotion, and performance. IFN reconciles our separation of inner emotion and outer space by juxtaposing radical Black movement on rendered backdrops of the cosmos.}
