Black Metal
Black Metal is a “Kitchen Table” book that explores a new protocol to space. The book comprises four sections, authored by four different artists, describing an Afrofuturist world wear space protocol is reimagined through a spirtual procession.
Companion 180 Vol. 1 is the second chapter of the book. It is comprised of a speculative manual for a spacesuit used on an interstellar pilgrimage, known as the Dark Voyage. On this pilgrimage, voyagers terraform the Earth through spiritual growth as they undergo the process of “shedding”. In this world we voyage into outer space to understand our inner selves.
